Detailed Description of the Data Product

This product contains the calibration file issued from the preliminary stage of RICH-CL, and used for either the current or further executions of RICH-CL. It is therefore both an output and an input product of RICH-CL. It has two tables which contain the results of, respectively; the calibration in color (COLOR_CORRECTION) and the calibration in magnitude (MAGNITUDE_CORRECTION, not yet implemented).

This data product contains, for different bins of redshift, the corrections in color and in magnitude which are to be applied for a fine estimate of RICH-CL outputs.

Primary HDU: Keywords

This fits file is expected to contain the following keywords in the primary HDU, characterizing the common parameters of the product:

  1. DET_CODE: Name of the detection algorithm (AMICO or PZWAV)

  2. MIN_Z: lower limit of redshift range for cluster detection

  3. MAX_Z: upper limit of redshift range for cluster detection

  4. SNR_THR: the S/N threshold for extracting a detection

  5. AREA: Area on which the calibration was performed [deg**2]

  6. REFERENCE_AREA A reference to the sky patch on which the calibration was performed

Table: COLOR_CORRECTION

Keywords

  1. DELTA_Z_BIN: Width of each redshift bin used for the color correction. Might be NaN if this value is not constant (i.e. if z-dependent), in which case MIN_Z and COLOR_CORRECTION_Z should be used to reconstruct each interval of redshift bin.
