“Clusters” Pipeline

Detailed description of the data product

This data product gathers a number of quantities (and their associated errors) characterizing the detected clusters, issued from PFs DET-CL, Z-CL, PROF-CL, SIG-CL, RICH-CL, LMF-CL and/or COMB-CL.

NOTE: The selection of columns indicated below is not definitive and requires a discussion. Does is aim at being complete (i.e. gather all columns from the input PFs) or rather a selection of the most representative quantities (in this case, quantities TBC) ? For the moment, only the columns issued from the PFs expected to participate in SC8 appear explicitely

The lines are the union of the two cluster catalogs, issued from each of the cluster detection codes (AMICO and PZ-Wav). Therefore, order to track individual and cross-identified detections, the following additional columns are used : - A unique identifier of this union catalog of the candidate clusters - Specific flags identifying, for a given cluster, which detection code was used - A reference for cross-identified (i.e. cross-matched) clusters.

Keywords

KEYWORDS SPECIFIC TO PF CAT-CL

  1. DET_CODE_1: Name of detection code 1 (AMICO or PZWAV)

  2. DET_CODE_2: Name of detection code 2 (AMICO or PZWAV)

KEYWORDS COMMON TO BOTH DET-CL CODES: GENERAL PARAMETERS AND COSMOLOGY PARAMETERS

  1. MIN_Z: lower limit of redshift range for cluster detection

  2. MAX_Z: upper limit of redshift range for cluster detection

  3. SNR_THR: the S/N threshold for extracting a detection (assumed to be common for both) TO BE CONFIRMED ! OR SPECIFY DISTINCT SN_THR FOR AMICO AND ZPWAV

  4. MIN_RA: Minimum RA of the area on which the run has to be performed [deg]

  5. MAX_RA: Maximum RA of the area on which the run has to be performed [deg]

  6. MIN_DEC: Minimum Dec of the area on which the run has to be performed [deg]

  7. MAX_DEC: Maximum Dec of the area on which the run has to be performed [deg]

  8. OMEGA_MAT: matter energy density

  9. OMEGA_VAC: vacuum energy density

  10. HUBBLE_PAR: Hubble constant in km/s/(Mpc/h)

  11. W_EQ_STATE: dark energy equation of state

  12. N_EFF: effective number of relativistic species

  13. TEMP_CMB: CMB temperature

KEYWORDS SPECIFIC TO AMICO DETECTION CODE:

  1. CUBE_XY_STEP: size of the RA and Dec bin [deg]

  2. MAX_AREA_DEG: Maximum area for a single tile on which AMICO can run [deg^2]

  3. L_BORDER_DEG: Size of the border defining the detection area [deg]

KEYWORDS SPECIFIC TO PZWAV DETECTION CODE:

  1. DZ: half width of reach redshift slice

  2. ZSTEP: interval between slices

  3. KRN_SCL1: lower scale of kernel, in kpc

  4. KRN_SCL2: larger scale of kernel, in kpc

  5. PIX_DEG: number of sampling pixels per degree

  6. DR_LIM: radius of matching area for the merging of detected peaks, in kpc

  7. DZ_LIM: redshift depth for the merging of detected peaks

  8. FROM_DENSITY_MAP: if True, indicates that a previously computed density map was used as an input, therefore bypassing the first stages of PZWav

KEYWORDS FROM RICH-CL:

  1. MAX_NB: Maximum number of structures to which a galaxy can be associated

  2. MIN_PROB: Minimum probability for the association to be saved in this catalog

Table

NOTE: In a purpose of clarity, the quantities included in the CAT-CL output table are hereafter presented in distinct tables, each corresponding to a different PF origin (or specific to CAT-CL). These tables will be merged as a single one in the actual CAT-CL output.
