Detailed description of the data product¶
This data product gathers the quantities associated with the membership probabilities between galaxies and candidate clusters. The catalogue of candidate cluster comes originally from DET-CL, but the reference is here Catalogue of Fully Characterized Clusters, from both detection methods (Output Product), which is the union of the detections from the different algorithms. The association probabilities come from DET-CL AMICO and from RICH-CL (In the case of associations to clusters detected by PZWav, the association probabilities come solely from RICH-CL). Because of the two clusters detection catalogue, any galaxy from the input galaxy catalogue may here appear twice (if associated to clusters detected by AMICO (either from AMICO or RICH-CL membership assignement) and to PZWAV (from RICH-CL membership assignement), or once (if only associated to a cluster from one of these methods), or may not appear if no association was found.
Keywords¶
Note: ALL THE CLUSTERS-RELATED PARAMETERS ARE IN Catalogue of Fully Characterized Clusters, from both detection methods (Output Product)
KEYWORDS SPECIFIC TO PF DET-CL (“AMICO”) DETECTION CODE:
MODEL_ID: an identifier of the cluster model used in the filtering procedure (see AMICO Model Input Product)
M_STAR: Limit magnitude to consider member galaxies in a cluster. (see AMICO Model Input Product))
MAX_NB_DET: the maximum number of structures to which a galaxy can be associated, from DET-CL (AMICO) method
MIN_PROB_DET: the minimum probability for an association to be recorded by DET-CL (AMICO) method
KEYWORDS SPECIFIC TO PF RICH-CL DETECTION CODE:
MAX_NB_RICH: the maximum number of structures to which a galaxy can be associated, from RICH-CL method
MIN_PROB_RICH: the minimum probability for the association to be recorded by RICH-CL (AMICO) method
Table¶
NOTE: In a purpose of clarity, the quantities included in the CAT-CL output table are hereafter presented in distinct tables, each corresponding to a different PF origin (or specific to CAT-CL). These tables will be merged as a single one in the actual CAT-CL output.
columns specific to CAT-CL (identification), as defined in Catalogue of Fully Characterized Clusters, from both detection methods (Output Product):
OBJECT_ID : Galaxy identifier, as it appears in detclGalaxies (see detclin)
ID_UNIQUE_CLUSTER: Identifier number of the associated cluster, unique for the union of detections catalog
DET_CODE_NB: reference (1 or 2) of the detection code used for that cluster candidate
CROSS_ID_CLUSTER: Cross-reference to the ID_UNIQUE_CLUSTER matching cluster, if any. If None: Nan
columns issued from detclAMICOClusters:
# #. ID_DET_CLUSTER: identifier of the associated detected cluster, as it appears out of DET-CL (see detclAMICOClusters), if any. If None: Nan #. P_CLUSTER : probability (0 <= p <= 1) of the galaxy membership in cluster ID_DET_CLUSTER, according to AMICO method, if any. If None: Nan
selection of columns from Galaxy Membership Output Product :
PMEM : probability (0 <= p <= 1) of the galaxy membership in cluster OBJECT_ID, according to “Pmem method”. Note that PMEM = PMEM_RAD * PMEM_Z
PMEM_ERR : error associated with PMEM
PMEM_RAD : Cluster-centric (i.e. tangential for observer) component of PMEM
PMEM_Z : redshift (i.e. along line of sight) component of PMEM
PMEM_RS : probability (0 <= p <= 1) of the galaxy membership in cluster OBJECT_ID, according to “red sequence” method.
PMEM_RS_ERR : error associated with PMEM, according to “red sequence” method.
