Detailed description of the data product

This HDU gives the probability that a cluster with a richness lambda_true and a redshift_true is detected with at lambda_obs and redshift_obs, , and the associated statistical errors. These two datasets appear in two distinct HDUs, with identical header content and identical table format.

Keywords

These keywords should define the sky area, the quantities associated with the clusters detection, and the associated selection cuts from which the subsample is built. The default scheme is that the TRUE and OBS quantities have the same binning (TBC).

  • AREA_MASK: Reference to a visibility or footprint mask defining the target sky area

  • Z_KEY: Name of the redshift column used for the subsample

  • RICHNESS_KEY: Name of the richness column (i.e. LAMBDA) used for the subsample

  • Z_TRUE_START: Lower value of binning in Z_TRUE

  • Z_TRUE_END: Upper value of binning in Z_TRUE

  • Z_TRUE_STEP: Step value of binning in Z_TRUE

  • Z_OBS_START: Lower value of binning in Z_OBS

Each of these two tables has NBins(LAMBDA_TRUE) columns and NBins(Z_TRUE) lines. Each table cell contains a matrix oof NBins(LAMBDA_OBS columns and NBins(Z_OBS) lines.

First HDU:

  • PROB_LAMBDA_Z_OBS_TRUE : Probability to detect a hypothetical cluster of richness LAMBDA_OBS and redshift Z_OBS, as a function of quantities LAMBDA_TRUE and Z_TRUE
