Detailed description of the data product¶
To compute the cosmic shear or galaxy-galaxy lensing 2-PCF, one (auto-correlation) or
two (cross-correlation) input FITS catalogues with shear measurement are needed
(see le3.wl.proxy.input.shearcatalog
in the following FITS descriptors).
FITS Input Catalog¶
This fits catalog (coming from OU-SHE/OU-PHZ) is expected to contain (in hdu named “SOURCE_CATALOG”) the following columns:
RIGHT_ASCENSION: Right ascension (unit in degree) [D, float64]
DECLINATION: Declination (unit in degree) [D, float64]
G1: first component of ellipticity [E, float32]
G2: second component of ellipticity [E, float32]
TOM_BIN_ID: selection bin (labelling from PHZ using SWG prescriptions, based in particular on tomographic redshift) [J, int32]
WEIGHT: shear weight for the galaxy [E, float32]
Warning
We have discussed to add later in the main header
<IntegerKeyword name="SHE_SEL"/> <!-- ID of selection made (e.g. tomographic redshifts, stellar mass…) -->
Warning
The following columns for selection have been discussed by SWG WL but no agreement yet with PHZ PF that is expected to produce them :
RF_COLOUR_BIN: Bin in Rest-frame colour (labelling from PHZ using SWG prescriptions)
MASS_BIN: Bin in stellar mass (labelling from PHZ using SWG prescriptions)
APP_MAG_BIN: Bin according to apparent magnitude (labelling from PHZ using SWG prescriptions)
REDMAG_BIN: redmagic-like selection from PHZ (luminous red galaxies, labelling from PHZ using SWG prescriptions)
FITCLASS: star/galaxy separation from SHE : galaxy (0), star(1), unknown (2)
Note that TOM_BIN_ID have replaced PHZ_MEDIAN.
Warning
This input catalogue is now a catalog container, containing in particular an associated spatial footprint propagated to outputs.
